Multi-Rate Processing


Anti-Aliasing / Anti-Imaging Filters
KWest has developed a set of Anti-Aliasing and Anti-Imaging-Filters for Audio & Video Applications to remove artefacts from signals. These filters are used, for example, for Fonts on Graphic displays to remove visible blocks.

Sample Rate Converters
These filters are also used inside Kwest's set of freely configurable Sample Rate Converters for Audio applications. They can be configured for the specific application with respect to Input & Output Sample Rates, the number of Audio Channels, Processing Block sizes, and Quality/SNR.

Asynchronous Converters
In some applications audio signals need to be connected from different clock domains that are not synchronous. Audible clicks are then heard depending on the clock difference, jitter, and other unwanted effects. These timing differences can also occur when systems use a PLL to multiply the input clock frequencies. To compensate for these effects, KWest has developed a solution to expand its set of Sample Rate Converters to include a set of Interpolators without increasing the processing power requirements.
