Free configurable Equalizer
KWest offers a configurable equalizer for audio applications. Not only the Nr. of Bands is definable, but also the center frequency for each band, the gain, and the bandwidth are changeable during runtime. Like this the Equalizer can be used to either compensate frequency unlinearities of speakers or as Parametric Equalizer for the End user.

Dynamic Range Compressor
On playing back music at low volumes, the listener often needs to regulate volume to hear silent as well as loud sequences of music. Also the recording level differs from CD to CD. In order to compensate this issue, KWest has developed a Dynamic Range Compressor which also takes care that your hear every detail of your favourite music if there is loud Road Noise.

Limiter/Cabinetulator
In order to protect your speakers and limit distortion, a limiter is introduced to adjust the gain of the outgoing signal. The built-in cabinetulator is able to attenuate specific frequency ranges depending on the signal level to softly reduce distortions at the beginning.

Delay Lines
Delay Lines are used to compensate different distances between the loudspeakers and the listener's ears. The implementation from KWest can be adjusted during run-time without any audible clicks.

Matrix Decoder
Matrix Decoders use psycho-acoustics to create a surround sound effect from stereo signals. Dedicated audio sources even provide a specially mixed CD to increase this effect. Well-known implementation of these Matrix Decoders are Dolby ProLogic II and SRS Surround.

Binaural Processing
Often only two speakers or a headphone are available for audio playback. In order to also generate a surround sound impression, binaural processing is used. Based on a Head-rated Transfer function, certain frequencies ranges are attenuated and delayed before they are played back. KWest can offer different binaural algorithms for Headphone and Speaker-Playback.

In-System Coefficient Calculation
All Audio Processing Algorithms from KWest can recalculate their parameters inside the target systems. So the parameters can be changed in Real-Time. A Parameter Morphing methodology guarantees clickless transistion between parameter sets.

Synthesizer
KWest can offer a Polyphone Sound Generator to play-back Midi-files or other files formats based. These sounds can be used for ringtone or warning tone generation.
